NANGARHAR, Jan. 15 – Two significant retaining wall projects, with a combined worth of 10 million Afghanis, have been successfully completed and inaugurated in the districts of Kot and Haske Mina in Nangarhar province.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mawlawi Yar Mohammad Mohammadi, the head of public works of the province, along with the district governors of the respective districts and several local officials.

The first project involved the construction of a retaining wall in Tor Raghe district of Haske Mina, spanning 25 meters in length and standing 7 meters high. It was contracted for a value of three million Afghanis and completed within a span of 40 days.

The second project focused on building a 120-meter-long, 7.2-meter-high, and approximately 3-meter-wide retaining wall in Atakhan area of Kot distirct. The purpose of this project, valued at 7 million Afghanis, was to prevent further damage to the Nangarhar ring road. It was contracted to the private sector and completed over a period of three months.

These retaining wall projects play a crucial role in preventing further destruction of the roads. Their completion will ensure the safety and stability of the infrastructure in the region.
