We Shattered the Prison Bars

Throughout the 20-year American occupation, a significant number of Afghans faced imprisonment within the country’s prisons for their resistance against the occupiers, depriving them of the cherished gift of freedom. However, by the grace of Almighty Allah, this oppressed nation has been blessed with the fruits of freedom, conquest, and victory, as sovereignty now rests in the hands of the native children of this homeland.

Moreover, numerous prisoners from Afghanistan found themselves transferred to the infamous Guantanamo prison by the United States. Additionally, neighboring countries, either to fulfill the United States’ wishes or as a result of their own actions, arrested Afghans and confined them in their prisons or handed them over to the United States.

Alhamdulillah, through their 20-year jihad, the Afghan nation successfully defeated the invaders, expelled them from the country, shattered the prison bars with utmost dignity, and brought their imprisoned compatriots back from Guantanamo prison and neighboring countries. Today, two Afghan brothers, Mullah Abdul Zahir Saber from Logar province and Abdul Karim from Khost province, who were both transferred to Guantanamo prison in 2002 and 2003, respectively, and later placed under supervision in Oman after their release, have returned to their homeland with the support and efforts of the Islamic Emirate. Their hearts were filled with joy and relief upon witnessing their beloved homeland and the establishment of an Islamic government.

Under the rule of the Islamic Emirate, the release of prisoners has remained a significant objective, and the Emirate has successfully achieved this by liberating fellow countrymen from prisons in Pakistan, Dubai, and several other countries. The efforts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan are dedicated to the welfare of the nation, with officials working tirelessly day and night, striving for a prosperous future for the country and its people.
