A joint meeting took place at the border between Afghanistan and Iran, where the Afghan delegation led by Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Nooruddin Azizi met with Muhammad Karmi, the special representative of the Iranian President and Governor of Sistan and Baluchistan.

During this meeting, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that a committee would be established at the provincial level to enhance trade and boost transit through Chabahar port, with oversight from a central committee.

Mr. Azizi’s visit focused on exploring opportunities and facilities related to the Chabahar-Silk route in terms of road and railway infrastructure, lifting transit restrictions at Chabahar port, and other topics aimed at promoting increased transit and trade.
