According to a recent newsletter released by the Ministry of Finance, a remarkable volume of commercial cargoes successfully cleared customs during the previous month. The ministry highlighted its efforts in facilitating trade for foreign traders by implementing various measures.

Notably, customs operations have transitioned to a 24-hour service, corruption has been effectively addressed, electronic scanning systems and gates have been implemented, and streamlined processes ensure efficient and transparent handling of goods.

The data provided revealed last month this year, the country’s customs witnessed a remarkable influx of trade, with thousands of import, export, and transit cargoes crossing its borders. These cargoes, valued at almost 50 billion Afghanis, collectively weighed an impressive 1.7 million tons.
