Yesterday, the President of China officially accepted credentials of the Afghan ambassador to China, Mawlawi Asadullah “Bilal Karimi”.

Previously, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, the esteemed Mullah Muhammad Hassa Akhund, accepted the credentials of the Chinese ambassador to Kabul.

China has become the first country to officially recognize and accept the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate, signifying a significant step towards formalizing Afghanistan and the government of the Islamic Emirate.

Despite the intentions of regional and global powers, who were defeated and withdrew from Afghanistan, to isolate the country and politically and economically challenge the Islamic Emirate government.

Since the Islamic Emirate regained control of Afghanistan, numerous countries have expressed their desire for strong and amicable relations with Afghanistan. Some have even shown interest in recognizing the government. However, major regional powers have obstructed these efforts. They have repeatedly tried to prevent the establishment of relations between Afghanistan and other nations, aiming to sever existing ties and exert pressure on countries seeking political and commercial relations with Afghanistan.

Consequently, many countries have been hesitant to take decisive steps in this regard. Nonetheless, just as the Islamic Emirate is striving to strengthen relations, these countries are also making efforts in the same direction.

China has broken this barrier and challenged the power dynamics in the region by taking an unprecedented step in recognizing Afghanistan, driven by its bilateral interests.

This significant move by China raises hopes that other countries will follow suit and recognize the Islamic Emirate, considering the best interests of nations worldwide, rather than merely following the declining influence of the United States.
