Over 10 slain as 2 posts overrun in Maiwand, equipment seized

KANDAHAR, May. 03 – 2 ALP and ANP check posts located in Shalghami area of Maiwand district came under Mujahideen attacks last night amid ongoing spring offensive Mansouri operation.
According to details both posts were overrun after an intense fight of heavy and light arms, killing 10 puppets including a boarder police commander and destroying 2 APCs and another vehicle.
Enemy is likely to have suffered heavy tolls as Mujahideen also stormed enemy reinforcement convoy and a military center in Spin Manda area.
Officials say, 2 PKM machine guns, 4 RPG launchers with 33 rounds, 6 rifles, 2 binoculars, 1 pistol and other military equipment has been confiscated in the operation.
