Officials from Paktika’s Gomal river sub-district have announced the commencement of a check dam construction project in Nimatabad district of the province.
The construction of the Mashin village check dam, funded by the Ministry of Water and Energy with a budget exceeding 2 million Afghanis, is underway.
The technical advisor of Sindizah sub-district stated that the check dam is designed to be 41.4 meters long and 4 meters high, with a water storage capacity of 24,241 cubic meters.
