Daily Committee Report

On Sunday, 16/7/1445 AH, which corresponds to 8/11/1402 AH, Afghan refugees returned from various routes in the country and received necessary services in different areas. Here is a comprehensive report of the day’s activities:

Torkham (Durand Hypothetical Line)

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

A total of 31 families, comprising 73 members, returned through Torkham and were successfully registered and underwent biometric procedures.

Transport and Shipping Committee:

From Torkham, 18 families consisting of 83 members were safely transported to Nangarhar, and a total of 16,500 Afghanis were provided to these families.

Finance Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee disbursed 10,000 Afghanis to the 73 registered families, amounting to a total of 730,000 Afghanis.

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Torkham, 27 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp. Additionally, 30 tents were set up, and 6 toilets were constructed in the Umari camp.

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

The Services and Health Affairs Committee in Torkham provided the following services to returning refugees:
– Food: Distribution of 620 meals and 45,000 liters of clean water in Torkham camps.
– Health: Treatment of 1,086 returning refugees in Torkham.
– Food items and clothes: Distribution of blankets, floors, gas stoves, 45 packages of raw food items, and other miscellaneous items to returning refugees in Torkham.
– Communications: Distribution of 91 SIM cards to returnees, free of charge, including free minutes and internet packages.

Job Seeking Committee:

The Employment Committee in Torkham registered a total of 77 individuals, including 1 bachelor’s degree holder, 1 hafiz, 1 religious scholar, 42 workers, and 32 professionals. The committee also conducted public awareness programs for 345 children in Torkham, covering topics such as explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and information about Afghanistan. Games and entertainment activities were organized for the mental well-being of these children. Moreover, the committee identified 2 children who were separated from their families and successfully reunited them with their families.

Committee for Organizing Mosques and Education:

The Committee for Organizing Mosques and Education, in collaboration with officials from the Nangarhar Province Education Department, registered 27 students for further education. They completed the initial stages of registration to facilitate enrollment in educational institutions. Furthermore, the committee officially referred returning refugees, whose children’s education was incomplete, to their respective provinces for continuation of their education after completing the initial stages.

 

Kandahar

Spin Boldak (Durand Hypothetical Line)

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

A total of 17 families, consisting of 112 members, returned to the country through Spin Boldak and were successfully registered. Additionally, 15 prisoners who returned have also been registered.

Transport and Transfer Committee:

From Spin Boldak, 2 families comprising 13 members were safely transported to Kandahar and Zabul provinces, with a rental payment of 3500 thousand Afghanis.

Finance Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to 16 families, totaling 160,000 Afghanis.

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Spin Boldak, (23) families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

The Services and Health Affairs Committee in Spin Boldak provided the following services to returning refugees:
– Food: Distribution of 500 meals and clean water in Spin Boldak.
– Health: Treatment of 241 returnees in Spin Boldak.
– Public Awareness: Providing public awareness sessions to 341 refugees on various health-related topics.
– Clothing: Distribution of tents, blankets, and clothing to refugees in short-term camps as needed.
– Communications: The Telecommunications Services Agency distributed 65 SIM cards to returning refugees free of charge, including free minutes and internet packages.

Job Seeking Committee:

The Employment Committee registered a total of 36 individuals, including 2 religious scholars, 23 poor individuals, and 11 professionals. Additionally, public awareness programs on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghanistan were conducted for 23 children in Spin Boldak.

Paktika

Angor Ada

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

At the Angor base, the Services and Health Affairs Committee provided the following services to returning refugees:
– Food: Distribution of 21 meals and clean water in Angor Ada and Sharna.

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

Public awareness sessions were conducted for refugees on the way to the Angor Ada. The sessions covered important information regarding registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

Nimroz

Silk Road

Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:

A total of 44 families, comprising 158 members, returned to the country through the Silk Route of Nimroz province and were successfully registered. Additionally, 1146 travelers also returned to the country and were registered.

Finance Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to 13 families, totaling 130,000 Afghanis.

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Nimruz, 49 families were placed in a short-term settlement camp.

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

In Nimruz, returning refugees received the following services, including health-related assistance:
– Communications: The Department of Communication Services distributed 29 SIM cards to returning refugees free of charge, including free minutes and internet packages.

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

Public awareness sessions were conducted for 158 refugees on the Silk Road of Nimroz Province. The sessions covered important information regarding registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, immigration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

Herat

Islam Kala Port

Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:

19 families returned to the country through Islam Fort, and 48 members of these families were successfully registered and underwent biometric procedures.

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Herat, 17 families were placed in a short-term settlement camp.

Kabul

Transport and Transfer Committee:

3 families, consisting of 15 members, were safely transported from Kabul to Khost province, with a total transportation cost of 11,500 Afghanis.

The total figures for the various activities of all the committees are as follows:

– Registered immigrants: 111 families, totaling 391 individuals.
– Transferred refugees: 23 families, totaling 111 individuals.
– Assisted refugees: 102 families.
– Temporary settled migrants: 116 families.
– Treated refugees: 1327 individuals.
– Distributed SIM cards: 185.
