Daily Report of Committee Activities

Afghan refugees returned through various routes in the country, and they were provided with necessary services in different areas. The comprehensive report is presented as follows:

 

Nangarhar

 

Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)

 

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

 

A total of 49 families returned to the country through Torkham, and the committee successfully registered and conducted biometric verification for 115 members of these families.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Committee provided assistance to 45 families, granting each family 10,000 Afghanis. The total amount disbursed by the committee was 450,000 Afghanis.

 

Transport and Transfer Committee:

 

The committee safely transported 21 families, consisting of 124 members, from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. Additionally, these families were provided with 15,000 Afghanis as rental support.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

 

The Temporary Settlement Committee accommodated 45 families in a short-term settlement camp in Torkham.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Various services, including health support, were provided to the returning refugees in the Torkham camp. Today’s services included the distribution of 1,000 meals and 80,000 liters of clean water. Moreover, the committee distributed blankets, floors, gas stoves, 60 packages of raw food items, and other miscellaneous items to the returned refugees. Additionally, 171 SIM cards were distributed free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.

 

Mosques and Education Organizing Committee:

 

In collaboration with the officials of the support and information department of the Nangarhar province education department, the organizing committee of mosques and education registered 45 students for further education. The committee completed the initial stages of registration to facilitate enrollment in educational institutions.

Furthermore, the committee officially referred returning refugees, whose children’s education was incomplete, to their respective provinces to continue their education.

 

Job Seeking Committee:

 

The Employment Committee registered 5 individuals with bachelor’s degrees, 1 individual with a post-baccalaureate degree, 46 impoverished workers, and 70 professionals in Torkham, totaling 122 persons.

The committee also provided public awareness sessions on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghan culture to 132 children in Torkham. Additionally, games and entertainment programs were organized for these children to support their mental well-being.

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

The Committee on Information and Public Awareness continued its efforts to provide essential knowledge to the refugees. They were given valuable information regarding their registration process, transportation arrangements, financial assistance programs, short-term settlement options, as well as insights into the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Furthermore, the committee collaborated with the ombudsmen from the Amr Ba-al-Moruf and Nahi-in-ul-Munkar Department of Nangarhar Province to extend awareness initiatives to refugees in different areas. This joint effort aimed to ensure that refugees were well-informed about their rights, responsibilities, and available support systems.

 

Additionally, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office, the committee distributed 25 immigration forms to the refugees, facilitating their documentation process and providing them with a means to access necessary services.

 

Kandahar

 

Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line)

 

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

 

A total of 30 families comprising 160 members returned to the country and were successfully registered through Spin Boldak.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided assistance to 30 families, granting a total of 300,000 Afghanis.

 

Transport and Transfer Committee:

 

Four families with 21 members from Spin Boldak were safely transported to Uruzgan and Ghazni provinces today, and these families were provided with 8,000 Afghanis as rental support.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

 

34 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Spin Boldak.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

In Spin Boldak , various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees. This included the distribution of 450 meals and clean water. Additionally, 349 returnees received medical treatment, while 278 refugees received public awareness sessions on various health topics. Tents, blankets, and clothing were also distributed to refugees in the short-term camps.

Moreover, the Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 115 SIM cards to the returned refugees, providing them with free minutes and internet packages.

 

Recruitment Committee:

 

The Employment Committee registered 2 individuals with bachelor’s degrees, 2 memorists, 4 religious scholars, 62 impoverished workers, and 20 professionals in Spin Boldak, totaling 90 individuals. The committee also organized public awareness sessions for 8 children in Spin Boldak, covering topics such as explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghan culture. Games and entertainment programs were provided to these children to support their mental well-being.

Zabul

Shamulzai Rout (Durand Fictitious Line)

 

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

A family consisting of 10 members returned to the country and was registered through Shamalzo, Zabul province.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

On the way to Shamulzo, refugees received important information through a public awareness program. They were provided with useful details regarding registration procedures, transportation arrangements, financial assistance programs, short-term settlement options, as well as insights into the country, Islamic system, immigration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Paktika

 

Angor Ada (Durand Hypothetical Line)

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Various services were provided to returning refugees in Angur Adha and Sharna, including health support. A total of 56 meals and water were distributed to the refugees in Angoor base and Sharna. Additionally, 6 returning refugees received medical treatment at Angur base.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

On the way to the Angor base, refugees were given important information through a public awareness program. They were provided with valuable details regarding registration procedures, transportation arrangements, financial assistance programs, short-term settlement options, as well as insights into the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Nimroz

 

Silk Road

 

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

 

54 families comprising 206 members returned to the country through the Silk Route in Nimroz province. They were successfully registered, and an additional 1,402 travelers also returned and were accounted for.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

In Nimroz province today, 14 families received cash assistance of 10,000 Afghanis each, totaling 14,000,000 Afghanis.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

 

41 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Nimroz.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the refugees who returned via the Nimroz Silk Road. The officials from the communication and information technology department distributed 54 SIM cards to the refugees free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

On the Silk Road in Nimroz Province, public awareness sessions were conducted for 206 refugees today. These refugees were provided with valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation arrangements, financial assistance programs, short-term settlement options, as well as insights into the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Herat

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

 

A total of 22 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Herat.

 

The cumulative statistics of all activities conducted by the various departments and committees are as follows:

 

Total Registered Migrants: 134 Families, 491 Individuals

Total Migrants Transferred: 25 Families, 145 Individuals

Total Assisted Migrants: 89 Families

Temporarily Settled Migrants: 142 Families
