DAB to Auction $11million Tomorrow

KABUL, Oct. 17 – Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), for further strengthening value of the local currency, will sell 11million dollars through an auction tomorrow, said the Bank authorities in letter to media.

The bank has asked eligible money changers and commercial banks to participate in the tender and obliged the winners of the tenders to settle their accounts by the end of the same day.

The press release further state that no partial transactions is allowed and the winner of the auction should deposit all the money owed at once in cash or by through bank within a certain period

Last week, the Bank also soled 10 million dollars to further strengthen the value of the Afghani currency.

The current exchange rate at Kabul Shahzada Sarai is 86.95 Afghanis against one US dollars today.
