KABUL, Feb. 08 – During targeted operations conducted in 11 provinces, the counter-narcotics police have successfully apprehended 28 individuals involved in drug trafficking and sales, as per a statement of the ministry of interior.

Among the arrests, Nangarhar accounted for 11, Paktia for four, Kapisa for three, Khost for three, Takhar for two, Kunduz for two, and Herat, Bamyan, and Samangan for three collectively.

In addition to the arrests, the police confiscated a significant quantity of contraband from the apprehended individuals, including 3,965 drug pills, marijuana, and heroin.

Furthermore, the police have also discovered and dismantled multiple drug factories. Specifically, several drug factories were found and destroyed in Ghor province, while one factory was located and neutralized in Nimroz province. These actions are part of the ongoing efforts to combat the production and distribution of narcotics, ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities affected by drug-related crimes.
