During the dark period of foreign occupation by America and NATO, the initial roots and foundation of the republic were established. Consequently, the proposals prioritized the interests of foreign governments, carefully weighing the benefits and drawbacks associated with America, NATO, and neighboring nations in every movement and action.

As strength, power, and financial support emanated from the United States, it was only natural that decrees had to be issued from their congress and imposed upon the mercenaries residing in the capital. There is a well-known proverb that states, “He who provides bread also gives commands.”

Due to this dynamic, there was no significant economic progress or initiatives for export reliance during the two decades of the “republican rule”. The interests of foreigners and the pockets of warlords always took precedence over the national interests of Afghans.

However, when we carefully examine the two and a half years of the Islamic Emirate’s governance in all aspects, we discover that the Islamic Emirate’s government, with its independence in decision-making and absolute freedom, undertakes any construction or action based on the national interests of Afghans, despite existing intense differences and tensions with neighboring countries and the world at large.

For instance:

1. When the first phase of the Qosh Tepa Canal was completed, the President of Uzbekistan expressed concern, claiming that it would disrupt water supply to Uzbekistan. The Islamic Emirate was urged to reconsider this matter.

2. When water from the Kamal Khan and Kajaki dams was not released to Iran, and the Iranian president issued a warning to the Islamic Emirate.

3. When plans were made to survey the Kunar Dam, leading Pakistani officials to threaten that its construction would escalate tension and potentially lead to confrontation between Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate.

However, despite all these threats and warnings, the resolute decisions of the Islamic Emirate remained unaffected.

The world and neighboring countries have come to recognize and acknowledge that the Islamic Emirate has taken significant strides in the field of economy by relying on domestic resources and promoting exports, even in the face of sanctions.

Biased countries that aim to impede the economic and construction plans of the Islamic Emirate have encountered confusion. At times, they seek support from the United States, and at other times, they turn to neighboring countries to disrupt these projects. This very behavior showcases the unwavering determination of the Islamic Emirate in pursuing their settlements.

With the grace of almighty Allah, the Islamic Emirate will navigate this laden ship from the stormy sea of disruptive invaders and anchor it safely at its intended destination.
