Amid ongoing efforts by the IEA to establish a conducive environment for investors, another significant investment opportunity where numerous facilities have been created to support and encourage investors the opening of 2 days Afghan-Kazakh International Exhibition in Kabul has been led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, and his counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sirek Zhumangarin.
During the opening ceremony of the Afghan-Kazakh international exhibition, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister, highlighted Afghanistan’s progress in both political and economic domains under the governance of the Islamic system.
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir mentioned that as a result of the Islamic Emirate’s balanced and economy-focused policies, Afghanistan has established active political representation in 38 countries worldwide.  He further emphasized the successful development of trade relations between the Islamic Emirate and neighboring countries thus Afghanistan is emerging as a pivotal transit hub and an economic center in the region.
Mullah Baradar Akhund underscored the significance of this forum for fostering trade and industrial growth between the two nations, highlighting a previous forum held in Kazakhstan that resulted in multi-million-dollar contract signings. During the forum, a diverse array of Afghan and Kazakh products were showcased, enabling industrialists and entrepreneurs from both sides to forge agreements across various sectors and leverage each other’s expertise.

Emphasizing the investment opportunities available in Afghanistan, Mullah Baradar Akhund welcomed domestic, foreign, and notably Kazakh investors to explore various sectors, assuring them of comprehensive support from the Islamic Emirate.

Additionally, he mentioned that during discussions with the delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, they deliberated on the railway project, slated to extend from Kazakhstan to Pakistan via Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Stressing the significance of this endeavor to the Islamic Emirate, he pledged full cooperation in its execution. In closing, Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund encouraged citizens to support not only Afghan goods but also Kazakh products showcased at the forum.

During the opening ceremony of the joint Afghan-Kazakh international exhibition, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, expressed that both regional countries and the international community have grasped the reality and are seeking positive engagement with Afghanistan. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi stated that the Islamic Emirate has made efforts to establish constructive relations with the entire world, with regional countries holding a special position. He also expressed a desire for positive and good relations with Western nations. However, he criticized certain self-interested groups and countries that act as obstacles in this regard.

The Foreign Minister strongly condemned the US-imposed sanctions on Afghanistan, highlighting their lack of justification and categorizing them as a clear violation of human rights. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi reiterated his stance against the claims made by self-proclaimed human rights defenders, regarding them as propaganda aimed at denouncing human rights violations.

He expressed disappointment that some human rights defenders continue to support criminals in Gaza, considering it a shameful act. Furthermore, Mr. Muttaqi condemned the ongoing plight of the oppressed people in Palestine and emphasized the importance of upholding their rights while supporting their just demands.

 

During the opening ceremony of the joint Afghan-Kazakh international exhibition, Serik Zhomangren, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, expressed that Afghanistan now offers improved investment opportunities compared to previous times. He emphasized that the country is currently in a safe state, highlighting the favorable conditions for investment.

Serik Zhomangren also emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to maintaining strong economic relations with Afghanistan in the long term. He stated that efforts are being made to invest in Afghanistan, showcasing Kazakhstan’s dedication to fostering economic cooperation between the two nations.
