Summary of the Most Significant Accomplishments of the Islamic Emirate During the Solar Year 1402, (2022 – 2023)

With the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, social justice has been enforced. By ensuring social justice, public services have been provided without discrimination to all Afghan citizens. Ethnic privileges have been abolished, and no one is granted privileges based on ethnicity or position. Through ensuring social justice and eliminating discrimination, unity and solidarity among ethnic groups have been strengthened compared to the past, and ethnic, linguistic, and religious differences have unprecedentedly diminished.

Furthermore, the approach of the leadership of Islamic Emirate towards all residents of the country and addressing their problems and issues have led to the strengthening of national unity and cohesion in the country.

Access to Information

The Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, adhering to the principle of responsiveness, has facilitated public access to information. Accordingly, through national television, government newspapers, private media outlets, social media platforms, informational publications, billboards, and the government accountability programs, continuous information dissemination has been made regarding the achievements and policies of the governmental entities. Consequently, as a result of these measures, individuals have been informed about the initiatives of the Islamic Emirate at the national and international levels.

The responsiveness of spokespeople from the Islamic Emirate has been emphasized both at the central and provincial levels, and their active presence in media programing and gatherings has addressed the expectations of the people. One crucial aspect is the coordination within the Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson apparatus, which has pursued a unified stance and position, thereby preventing any disruption in the public mindset.

The ongoing facilitation and efficient accessibility of media outlets and journalists to spokespersons representing governmental entities within the Islamic Emirate have notably contributed to public satisfaction with the responsiveness demonstrated. The meticulous coordination and seamless communication among provincial spokespersons have further ensured the dissemination of precise and timely information.

Support for Media Activities

From the perspective of the Islamic Emirate, the media represents the best tool for promoting and disseminating awareness on various topics, especially Islamic values and principles. Accordingly, support has been extended to the country’s media outlets, allowing them to operate within the framework of Islamic principles and the national interests of Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate has not imposed any restrictions on any media outlet or journalist. The guideline communicated to the media through the Ministry of Vice and Virtue is in accordance with Sharia law, which must be adhered to in Afghan Muslim society.

Freedom of expression and support for media activities in the country are accepted principles, with the Islamic Emirate endorsing freedom of expression and the media within the framework of Islamic principles. No media outlet has been halted by the Islamic Emirate, and if any media outlet ceases its operations, it is due to the cessation of external funding sources.

The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate, while facilitating media activities, has issued approximately 120 licenses for audio, visual, and print media outlets in the past year.

Relationship Management

The Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, serving as the bridge between the people and the Islamic Emirate, has engaged with various segments of the population over the past year, elucidating and explaining the position of the Islamic Emirate on both domestic and foreign matters. Additionally, this office has held discussions with representatives of countries and international organizations, informing them of the positive and constructive approach of the Islamic Emirate in its engagement with the world.

Over the past year, fruitful coordination and establishment of constructive relationships at various levels have been undertaken, and the efforts made in this regard have strengthened the position of the Prime Minister’s Office as a competent authority of the Islamic Emirate.

Addressing Complaints

The Islamic Emirate spares no effort to address every issue faced by the people, whether it arises from governmental institutions or within their own communities, and strives to find solutions to them.

Due to comprehensive attention to this particular matter, timely action is taken to address the problems and complaints of the people, with tangible steps being taken to resolve them.

Handling citizens’ complaints and grievances is conducted through the Administrative Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Vice and Virtue. Over the past year, as a result of the actions and efforts of these two institutions, thousands of complaints and petitions from the public have been addressed in various sectors, leading to resolution of non-legal disputes of the people through this process.
