The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, who has recently visited Turkiye, in a news conference in Kabul the other day said that the Islamic Emirate (IEA) wanted to have good relations with all countries including Turkiye. Speaking to journalists, Mujahid said that he shared the message of the IEA with the officials of the Turkiye and other countries.

“We met with technical teams in Istanbul about the technical parts of governance which are normal in the world, so our government will be familiar with it,” Mujahid said, adding that the IEA delegation will soon have joint meetings on customs-related issues, banking and way of collection of incomes.

He said that some organizations have pledged to pay visit to Afghanistan and cooperate with the country in various fields.

According to the IEA spokesperson, the IEA wants to have and maintain further diplomatic relations with Turkiye and other countries of the world.

Mujahid further said that diplomatic relations with the countries could pay the way for recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate spokesperson had traveled from Kabul to Turkiye to attend the gathering of the Union of Scholars and Madrasas (Ýttihad’ul Ulema).

During his visit to the country, he met with a number of political parties, political figures, representatives of aid organizations and writers and scholars in Turkiye.

During his visit to Turkiye, the IEA delegation led by Zabihullah Mujahid has also met with Turkish officials to discuss problems of Afghan refugees and prevention from forced deportation of Afghan refugees.

Afghan political experts believe that Turkiye is following a far-regional foreign policy and can be a good mediator to help the region in reduction of challenges in the region.

From 2001 until the return of the Islamic Emirate to power in mid-August 2021, Turkiye was present in the framework of US-led NATO forces in Afghanistan, but throughout this period, Turkiye tried to prevent Turkish forces from engaging in active war against the Afghan people.

During the last ten years, Turkiye has established schools in different parts and cities of Afghanistan with the expansion and development of Turkish schools in the country to provide the Afghan students with educational and learning services.

Besides, printing numerous books in the country, creating cultural centers and libraries, etc., are other practical activities of Turkiye in Afghanistan.

The friendly relations between Afghanistan and Turkiye have a cultural and civilizational background and the strategic and effective cooperation of the two countries in economic, scientific, social and educational fields is expanding by passing each single day.

Over the past few decades, hundreds of thousands of Afghan citizens have paid visits to Turkiye as students, workers and refugees live in different cities of that country.
