In the sixth district of Kandahar city, the construction of a secondary school named Arab Kala was completed and inaugurated today. The event witnessed the presence of Mr. Abdul Salam Sarkar, the head of the Department of Economy, along with other officials. This commendable establishment was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Economy of Kandahar Province, in conjunction with the Department of Education and the Department of Refugee Affairs. The project received financial support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and technical cooperation from the WAW Institute.

With a total cost of $274,975, the school comprises not only 10 classrooms but also a laboratory, a well-equipped computer lab, a clean water network, and a playground. These facilities are designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience, blending religious teachings with modern curriculum. The Arab Kala school is expected to cater to approximately 1,600 children, offering them quality education over the course of three days. This remarkable initiative marks a significant step forward in providing educational opportunities to the youth of Kandahar province.
