Construction of 12 Check Dams Commence in Ghor Province

A meeting was held, attended by Alhaji Mullah Rahmatullah Amani, the head of Ghor sub-district, along with representatives from the departments of economy, urban development and housing, provincial officials, and local authorities, to initiate the practical work of 12 check dam projects across 12 districts of Ghor province. These projects hold an estimated cost of approximately 50 million Afghanis.

During the meeting, the head of Ghor marine sub-district emphasized the importance of adhering to the contract terms, ensuring excellent quality, and completing the projects within the specified timeframe. He also called upon the project beneficiaries to cooperate with the contracted companies to facilitate the smooth execution of the projects.

Local officials of Ghor province, as well as the beneficiaries of these projects, expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing implementation, recognizing the vital significance of these initiatives for the residents of Ghor province.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Water and Energy has provided the necessary financial resources for these projects, which aim to collect snow and rainwater, reinforce underground water systems, and control floods in the 12 districts of Ghor province.

The projects have commenced in Pasband, Thaywara, Saghar, Tolk, Shahrak, Dawlat Yar, Lal wa Sarjangal, Chaharsadah, Marghab, Al Farooq, and Allah Yar distircts of the province.
