According to ministry of trade and industry on the sidelines of the Kazan Forum, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, Alhaj Nuruddin Azizi, held a meeting with Mr. Rostam Mini Khanov, the President of Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by Mr. Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Olig Kurobchenko, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Mr. Minikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Acting Ministry of Industry and Trade and their delegation for their participation in the 15th International Economic Forum of Russia-Islamic World. He also extended his condolences for the recent natural disasters that affected various provinces in Afghanistan.

The discussions between the two sides encompassed several areas of mutual interest, including bilateral trade, the establishment of a Russian Trade House in Afghanistan, a potential visit by the President of Tatarstan to Kabul, investment opportunities in electricity production, water transfer, mining, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation. Additionally, practical steps were explored to facilitate the transit of Russian export goods to Afghanistan and South Asia through the Volga transit route.

The meeting served as a platform for comprehensive deliberations on strengthening ties and fostering collaboration between the two entities.
