Another tragic news has been received from notorious Pul-e-Charkhi prison about passing away of one of the detainees – Asmatullah s/o Abdullah resident of Khashrod district of Nimroz province -who was suffering from an illness in this prison. Surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.

The detainee was suffering from an illness but has not received any proper treatment in the prison.

The late Asmatullah lost his life from a curable disease akin to the other oppressed prisoners that have passed away during the course of this year.

This detainee lost his precious life as the lives of hundreds of other inmates in the prisons of Kabul and invaders are threatened by various dangerous diseases including the recent global coronavirus pandemic.

The Kabul administration and their foreign backers have no fundamental roadmap for improving the medial conditions nor are they allowing the relatives of imprisoned to give sick detainees proper medical treatment.

The Commission for Prisoner Affairs once again calls on all international human right organizations, humanitarian health foundations and other independent relief groups to take effective steps in addressing these conditions, discharging their responsibilities and help in taking to account the violators.
