Over 2500 visitors explore Herat museum this month

In the current month, Herat’s museum and archive have welcomed two and a half thousand visitors.

 

Nurzai, the Museum Manager from the Information and Culture Department of Herat Province, reported a noteworthy increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year. The month has witnessed a rise of approximately 40 percent in the number of visitors.

 

According to Nurzai, cultural workers and security forces have contributed over the past two years by transferring more than 500 historical artifacts to the museum.

 

A group of tourists from Helmand and Kandahar provinces who visited the museum expressed their satisfaction with the provided security, which has enabled people to explore historical and recreational sites.

 

The museum of Herat Province is situated within the historic Akhtaruddin Fort (Herat Palace), showcasing artifacts from the pre-Islamic, Islamic, and contemporary periods.
