KABUL, Feb. 03 – Today, the head of UNAMA, Roza Otunbayeva and her delegation met IEA Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, said a statement of Abdul Qahar Balkhi the spokesman of the foreign ministry.
The discussion focused on recent diplomatic developments of the IEA, the upcoming Doha meeting, the report by Snerli Oglu, and related matters.
To began with, Minister Muttaqi reiterated the Emirate’s stance on Resolution 2721 and emphasized the importance of constructive interaction of the IEA and UN. He requested further clarification from UNAMA regarding the agenda and composition of the forthcoming meeting in Doha, and added that the Emirate will decide on the participation of the delegation in the light of the clarifications.
Ms. Otunbayeva, presented some information about the Doha meeting and requested the participation of the Emirate delegation.
