The Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mawlavi Muhammad Yaqub Mujahid, and Chief of Staff Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat held a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, said Zabihullah Mujahid the spokeman of the IEA.
During the meeting, they discussed the enhancement of relations between the two countries and progress in various fields. The Emir of Qatar referred to Afghanistan as a friendly and fraternal nation, demonstrating his positive intentions.
Mawlawii Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Afghanistan’s Defense Minister, expressed gratitude to Qatar for its cooperation and assured the continued development of relations from his side. He further extended his appreciation to Qatar for its hospitality and effective mediation in Afghanistan’s liberation and the withdrawal of occupying forces.
