Around 70,000 Tons of Goods Transported through Railways in a Week

KABUL, Dec. 17 -As many as 69,130 tons of goods have been transported through railway lines in the last week, said  Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) .

According to a statement 43,533 tons of goods were transported through the Haritaran port, 3,290 tons through the Aqhina port, and 22,280 tons through Torghandi port.

The transport included oil and other goods amounted to 67,499 tons imports from neighboring countries into Afghanistan while 1,654 tons of goods mostly dry fruit exported to neighboring countries.

ARA is striving to provide better facilities for the transportation of goods and has been able to collect over 1.4 billion AFN of revenue during first six months of the current solar year.
