KABUL, Jan. 29 – According to officials of interior ministry the anti-drug forces have eradicated 8 acres of land from poppy production and detained 13 people in connection with drug sales and trafficking in Laghman, Herat, Farah, Paktika, and Khost provinces.

According to details in Laghman province they removed 8 acres from poppy cultivation. Eight people were detained in connection with the sale of drugs from Herat, three from Farah, one from Paktika in connection with the smuggling of 15 kilogrammes of raw hashish, and yet another from Khost province.
