23 killed, large area seized as Mujahideen zero in on Baghlan-e-Markazi

BAGHALN, July 19 – The Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen opened two frontlines, continuing fighting against the enemy forces in Baghlan-e-Markazi and Pol-i-Khomri districts of the northern province of Baghlan.

In Shahabuddin area of Pol-e-Khomri, four Arbakis including a commander were injured.

In Shahrak-e-Jadid of Baghlan-e-Markazi district, Mujahideen fighters continued targeting the district police headquarters and rest of the posts and seized all the checkpoints and posts along the street 5, 6, 7 and 8, leaving as many as 23 joint enemy personnel including officers and commanders killed, where two tanks were destroyed with Mujahideen capturing a large amount of arms and ammo from the enemy.

Tightening their siege, Mujahideen fighters closed in on the district police headquarters in Shahraki Jadid.

Furthermore, the enemy offensive was repelled in the evening hours of the day in which a tank was destroyed and Mujahideen seized more posts in the limits of Baghlan-e-Markazi.

The highway between Baghlan and Kunduz and Baghlan and Takhar has been blocked off by Mujahideen for the past 3 days.
