Over 28 killed as 2 centers overrun in Nawa

HELMAND, Aug. 02 –Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen attacked an Arbaki center in Parchaw area of Nawa district overnight, sparking heavy clashes of heavy and light arms, overrunning the said center after killing 15 puppets, destroying a ranger pickup and forcing the rest to flee leaving corpses behind on the battle ground.
A PKM machine gun, 5 rifles, 2 mortar tubes, 1 APC, 1 motorbike and other tools have been confiscated as war spoils.
Later on, Mujahideen attacked another enemy compound-turned post in Jarnamo area of the said district.
The post was overrun after a brief resistance, killing more than 15 puppets and forcing the rest to flee while leaving many corpses, 4 rifles and other war equipment behind.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded in the operation.
