Over 14 killed and wounded as 2 posts overrun in Farah

FARAH, Mar. 01 – According to a recent report from Bala Baluk district, Mujahideen assaulted 2 ANP check posts located along the road to Farah center in Kunsak area last night.
According to details, firefight of heavy and light arms went for about 4 hours, resulting in both the posts were overrun while killing 8 puppets including a key enemy commander – Ahmad Shakib – and leaving 6 others deadly wounded as well as forcing the rest to flee leaving 5 corpses behind on the battle ground.
2 heavy machine guns, 3 rifles, 1 pistol and a good deal of ammunition were recovered.
It is said that Mujahideen have suffered no casualties in the operation.
