Heavy weapons seized in Zaranj city

NIMROZ, Mar. 21 – As a result of the efforts of intelligence and security forces of Nimroz police headquarters, 29 units of different types of weapons have been seized in Zaraj city the capital of Nimroz province.

Alhaj Sardar Mohammad Ayoubi, police chief of Nimroz province told a press conference that as a result of the efforts of detectives and intelligence personnel of Nimroz police headquarters, 29 different types of weapons, including 2 GC, 3 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 rocket launchers, 2 assault rifles, and 1 pistol have been discovered and confiscated.

Mr. Ayoubi expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation of the people in the detection and seizure of various weapons and called on the people to continue their cooperation.

Last week, a weapons depot was also discovered and confiscated in the Chahar Burjaki district of the province.
