KABUL, Oct. 27 – This evening, Foreign Minister Mawlwi Amir Khan Mottaqi and a delegation met in Doha with the ambassadors and special envoys of 14 countries for Afghanistan, mainly from European countries.

At the beginning, the Foreign Minister spoke about the new Islamic government, strengthening security, relations with the international community, the economic situation, sanctions on Afghanistan, and the elimination of corruption.

Mr. Mottaqi called on the international community that Afghanistan has a sovereign state after 40 years, and the international community should demand from the United States to unfreeze national wealth of the Afghan people adding that Afghanistan’s new government, as a responsible government, had met all the conditions that needed to be recognized.

The representatives of the countries also expressed their views and satisfaction with the remarks and explanations of the Afghan delegation.

Finally, both sides stressed the need to continue such meetings.
