KABUL, June. 12 – The International Program Director of Save the Children, Ms. Nora Ingdal, & the accompanying delegation called on the Deputy Foreign Minister, Alhaj Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, in Storai Palace today.
Ms. Nora briefed the Deputy Foreign Minister on the programs undertaken by Save the Children in Afghanistan saying that the organization has been working without political considerations in education, health, food security & child protection for the last forty-five years.
She added that thanks to the reliable security in the country, they are able to reach needy children without any concern. The DFM thanked Save the Children for the humanitarian activities, adding that decades of war in Afghanistan has affected bith children & adults, and now that the war has ended, caring to this stratum is among the priorities of the Islamic Emirate.
At the end, Deputy Forign Minister Stanekzai assured the delegation on behalf of the IEA to provide all necessary support.
