Report on the Daily Activities of Committees

The following is a comprehensive report on the activities conducted and services provided to Afghan refugees returning through various routes to the country:

 

Nanagarhar

Torkham (Durand Hypothetical Line)

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

 

A total of 22 families returned through Torkham, and the committee successfully registered and collected biometric data for 42 family members.

 

Transportation and Shipping Committee:

 

Thirteen families consisting of 63 individuals were safely transported from Torkham to Nangarhar, with each family receiving a payment of 33,000 Afghanis.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided financial support to 19 families, distributing a total of 10,000 Afghanis.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

The returning refugees at the Torkham age camp received various services, including healthcare:

 

Food: A total of 480 meals and 30,000 liters of clean water were distributed in the Torkham camps.

 

Healthcare: 593 refugees received medical treatment in Torkham.

 

Food and Clothing: The returned refugees in Torkham received the following food and clothing items: blankets, mattresses, gas stoves, 17 packages of raw food, and other miscellaneous items.

 

Communication: Free 68 SIM cards with complimentary minutes and internet packages were distributed to the returnees.

 

Employment Seeking Committee:

 

The Employment Committee in Torkham registered individuals with different qualifications:

 

– 3 individuals with bachelor’s degrees

– 2 religious scholars

– 11 workers

– 10 professionals

 

In total, 26 people were registered. Additionally, the committee provided public awareness programs to 82 children, focusing on topics such as explosives, hygiene, child protection, Afghanistan, and mental health through games and recreational activities.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

In Torkham, the committee continued to provide public awareness to the refugees, covering the following topics:

Registration procedures, Transportation arrangements, Financial assistance, Temporary settlement arrangements,  Understanding the country’s Islamic system, Immigration guidelines, Patience and tolerance, Education and training opportunities.

 

Moreover, the ombudsmen from the propagation of virtue and prevention of vice  Department of Nangarhar Province conducted awareness programs in different areas. The committee, in coordination with the IOM office, also distributed two migration forms to the refugees.

 

Kandahar

Spin Boldak (Durand Hypothetical Line)

 

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

 

Through Spin Boldak, a total of 36 families comprising 175 members have returned to the country and successfully completed the registration process.

 

Transportation and Shipping Committee:

 

Thirty-seven families from Spin Boldak were safely transported to Herat, with each family receiving a payment of 1,000 Afghanis.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Committee provided financial support to 34 families, distributing a total of 34,000 Afghanis.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Returning refugees in Spin Boldak received various services, including healthcare:

 

Food: A total of 520 meals and clean water were distributed in Spin Boldak.

 

Healthcare: 148 returnees received medical treatment in Spin Boldak.

 

Public Awareness: 279 refugees were provided with public awareness programs related to health in different areas.

 

Clothing: Short-term camps were equipped with tents, blankets, and other necessary items, which were distributed to refugees as needed.

 

Communication: The Department of Communication Services distributed 169 SIM cards to the returned refugees free of charge, including complimentary minutes and internet packages.

 

Employment Seeking Committee:

 

The Employment Committee in Spin Boldak registered individuals with various qualifications:

 

– 2 individuals with bachelor’s degrees

– 1 individual with a post-baccalaureate degree

– 3 individuals with bachelor’s degrees

– 1 Hafiz (memorizer of the Quran)

– 22 workers

– 14 professionals

 

In total, 43 people were registered. Additionally, the committee provided public awareness programs to 50 children in Spin Boldak, focusing on topics such as explosives, hygiene, child protection, and Afghanistan.

Paktika

Angor Ada Rout

 

Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:

 

Through the Angur base, 2 families returned to the country and completed the registration process.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided assistance to 2 families, offering a total of 20,000 Afghanis.

 

Transportation and Shipping Committee:

 

Two families were safely transported from the Angur base to their respective areas and villages.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Returning refugees at the Angur base received various services, including healthcare:

 

Food: A total of 26 meals and clean water were distributed in Angoor Ada and Sharna.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

Refugees were provided with essential information during their journey to the Angur base, covering topics such as registration procedures, transportation arrangements, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding the country, the Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Nimruz

Silk Road Rout

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

 

A total of 34 families, comprising 143 members, returned to the country through the Silk Road in Nimruz province. They were successfully registered, along with 2292 other travelers.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to 11 families, amounting to a total of 110,000 Afghanis.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

 

Returning refugees in Nimruz received the following services, including healthcare:

 

Healthcare: A total of 243 refugees received medical treatment in Nimruz.

 

Communication: The Department of Communication Services distributed 47 SIM cards to the returned refugees, offering complimentary minutes and internet packages free of charge.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

 

Public awareness programs were conducted for 143 migrants on the Silk Road in Nimruz Province. They received valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation arrangements, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding the country, the Islamic system, immigration guidelines, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

Herat

Islam Kala

 

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

 

Sixteen families returned to the country through Fort-e-Islam, and a total of 52 family members were registered and their biometric data collected.

 

Finance Management Committee:

 

The Financial Affairs Committee provided financial assistance of 10,000 Afghanis to 78 families, amounting to a total of 780,000 Afghanis.

 

Kabul

 

Transportation and Shipping Committee:

 

From Kabul, two families consisting of seven members were safely transported to Mazar-e-Sharif province at a total cost of 8,000 Afghanis.

 

The overall statistics of the activities conducted by all committees are as follows:

 

– Registered immigrants: 110 families comprising 417 individuals.

– Transported refugees: 24 families comprising 112 individuals.

– Assisted refugees: 66 families.

– Treated refugees: 984 individuals.

– Distributed SIM Cards: 284 numbers.
