Afghan refugees returned to the country through various routes and received necessary services in different areas. The detailed report is as follows:

 

Nangarhar

Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)

 

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

A total of 26 families returned through Torkham and 33 individuals from these families were successfully registered and underwent biometric processing.

 

Transport and Transfer Committee:

24 families comprising 112 members were safely transported to Nangarhar, Kunar, and Kabul from Torkham. Additionally, a sum of 44,000 Afghanis was provided to these families.

 

Finance Management Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee provided financial assistance to 45 families, totaling 450,000 Afghanis.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

A total of 14 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Torkham.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

Communication: 144 SIM cards were distributed to the returning refugees, free of charge, with complimentary minutes and internet packages.

 

Job Seeking Committee:

In Torkham, the employment committee registered 2 individuals with bachelor’s degrees, 2 memorizers, 3 religious scholars, 41 unskilled laborers, and 24 skilled professionals. A total of 74 individuals were registered in various categories.

The committee also conducted public awareness sessions for 244 children, covering topics such as explosives awareness, hygiene, child protection, and knowledge about Afghanistan. Games and entertainment programs were organized for the mental well-being of the children.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

Refugees in Torkham received public awareness sessions similar to previous days. They were provided with valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, immigration, patience, tolerance, education, and training. The ombudsmen from the prpagation of vurtue and prevention of vice department of Nangarhar province also conducted awareness sessions for refugees in different areas.

Furthermore, the committee coordinated with the IOM office to distribute 22 immigration forms to the refugees.

 

 

Kandahar:

Spin Boldak (Durand Hypothetical Line):

 

Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:

A total of 25 families comprising 126 members returned to the country through Spin Boldak and were successfully registered.

 

Transport and Shipping Committee:

Seven families with 30 members from Spin Boldak were safely transported to Herat province. These families were provided with a rent allowance of 10,000 Afghanis.

 

Finance Management Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee offered financial assistance to 23 families, amounting to a total of 230,000 Afghanis.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Spin Boldak, 33 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

The returning refugees in Spin Boldak received various services, including:

 

– Food: 350 meals and clean water were distributed.

– Health: 169 returnees received medical treatment.

– Public awareness: 238 refugees were provided with awareness sessions on various health-related topics.

– Clothing: Tents, blankets, and other necessary items were distributed to refugees in the short-term camps.

– Communications: The Telecommunications Services Agency distributed 84 SIM cards to the returning refugees, including free minutes and internet packages.

 

Job Seeking Committee:

In Spin Boldak, the employment committee registered one Hafiz, one religious scholar, 33 unskilled workers, and 15 skilled professionals. A total of 50 individuals were registered. The committee also conducted public awareness sessions on explosives, hygiene, child protection, and knowledge about Afghanistan for 31 children in Spin Boldak.

 

Paktika:

Angor Ada Rout:

 

Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:

A family returned to the country and was registered through Angor Ada.

 

Finance Management Committee:

The Financial Affairs Committee provided a donation of 10,000 Afghanis to the family.

 

Transport and Shipping Committee:

One family from Angur Base was safely transported to their area and village.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

The returning refugees at Angur base received various services, including:

 

– Food: 20 meals and clean water were distributed in Angoor Ada and Sharna.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

Public awareness sessions were conducted for the refugees en route to Angur base. The refugees were provided with valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Nimroz:

Silk Road Rout:

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

Twelve families with a total of 48 members returned to the country and were successfully registered through the Silk Road in Nimroz province. Additionally, 1462 travelers also returned to the country.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Nimroz, 44 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.

 

Services and Health Affairs Committee:

Returning refugees in Nimroz received various services, including:

 

– Communications: The Telecommunications Services Agency distributed 11 SIM cards to the returning refugees free of charge, including complimentary minutes and internet packages.

 

Information and Public Awareness Committee:

Public awareness sessions were conducted for 114 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz province. The refugees received valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.

 

Herat:

Islam Kala Rout:

 

Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:

Through Islam Qala, one family returned to the country and all five members of this family were registered and underwent the biometric process.

 

Temporary Settlement Committee:

In Herat, 44 families were placed in a short-term settlement camp.

 

Kabul:

 

Transport and Shipping Committee:

Seven families from Kabul, comprising 27 members, were safely transported to Kunduz province. The total cost of transportation amounted to 44,000 Afghanis.

 

The overall summary of the activities of all committees is as follows:

 

– Registered immigrants: 65 families, totaling 215 individuals.

– Transported refugees: 39 families, comprising 172 individuals.

– Assisted migrants: 69 families.

– Temporarily settled refugees: 135 families.

– Treated refugees: 169 individuals.

– Distributed SIM cards: 239 cards.
