KUNDUZ, Jan. 01 – The Ministry of Villages, Reconstruction and Development has announced the initiation of construction for 9 check dams in Kunduz province, as stated in a press release. Acting Minister Mullah Muhammad Yunus Akhund has actively commenced the practical work for 6 of these dams.

According to the ministry, these check dams are being strategically built across 9 districts of Kunduz province, with a total cost of 30 million Afghanis. Among them, construction has already begun for 6 check dams.

Furthermore, the ministry has also undertaken the construction of check dams at the district level in various provinces. This initiative aims to contribute to the reinforcement of underground water reservoirs, providing a sustainable water resource for the respective regions.
