Check post overrun in Shawalikot, 5 killed

KANDAHAR, Dec. 21 – A hireling check post belonging to ANA came under a Mujahideen attack overnight in Mano area of Shawalikot district, amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’.
Attack of heavy and light arms continued till midnight, resulting in the post overrun after killing 5 puppets as well as forcing the rest to flee.
2 heavy machine guns, 2 rifles with 2000 rounds and other military equipment were confiscated.
It is worth mentioning that another post close to the said was overrun some time ago, killing 5 minions, arresting 3 others and seizing 7 rifles.
