Check post, large area cleared in Faryab

FARAYB, June. 23 – Officials say operation launched by Mujahideen against hirelings some two days ago in Tagab Shan and Gunj areas of Garzewan district is still ongoing, so far a key check post and Gunj area was overrun forcing the enemy to flee leaving behind corpses on the battle ground.
A heavy machine gun, 1 rifle, 4000 ammunition, 4 motorbikes and other war spoils were seized in the successful operation.
Clearance operation against hireling is said to be underway in the area, the details of which will be updated.
