Key base, check post overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Sep. 17 – According to a latest report from Khakrez district of southern Kandahar province, a strategic enemy military base and a nearby check post that were under siege of Mujahideen since last some days were overrun midday today with the help of hireling reinforcement troops escorted by many tanks and APCs after an intense fighting.

During gunfight an enemy APC was destroyed by an IED attack, leaving all gunmen killed or hurt inside.

2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded in the operating.
