Several puppets including police chiefs of Lashkargah, Dishu killed or wounded in Nahr Siraj

HELMAND, Aug. 15 – Officials say Lashkargah – Kandahar highway still remain blocked in Yaklang and Shindak Manda area, Nahr Siraj region of Gerishk district.
The hireling Police chief of Kandahar province – Commander Abdul Raziq – who reached 3 days ago to reopen the rout is bogged and under siege by Mujahideen in Sattar Khan Battalion.
Midday on Sunday police chief of capital Lashkargah – Aqanur Kenthoz – and police chief of Dishu district – Janan – arriving from Lashkargah side with large number of APCs and tanks for reopening the rout came under Mujahideen attack in Chargul Pump area, sparking heavy clashes that lasted till early night hours, resulting in 4 enemy APCs and a ranger pickup were destroyed by IEDs as well as 2 landmine blasted on a hireling patrol, causing in serious casualties.
According to details the above mentioned both police chief are among the wounded.
The enemy was ultimately forced to flee while suffering heavy casualties.
