BAGHLAN, Aug. 14 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate have seize a major base and four combat posts in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of northern Baghlan province, according to Al-Emarah news reports.

It said Mujahideen launched an offensive on Saturday evening aimed at the enemy installations in which Mujahideen succeeded in taking over a major forward operation base four posts located in a strategic location on the hill known as Armani Ghundi in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan.

As many as 9 puppets including soldiers of ANA, police and Arbakis were killed and several dozens were wounded in the resulting firefights.

Likewise, Mujahideen captured a great deal of arms and ammunition from the possession of the enemy including two armored personnel carriers.

It adds Mujahideen are in the point of advancing on Shahr-e-Kohna.
