8 slain as check post overrun in Shorabak, equipment seized

KANDAHAR, Aug. 25 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen stormed Tormar check post located in Srochahano area of Shorabak district overnight.
Attack of heavy and light weapons, resulting in the check post overrun after a brief resistance, leaving 8 puppets killed and forcing the rest to flee.
A ranger, 1 Dshk, 2 PKMs, 1 RPG launcher, 3 rifles and other sizable amount of war equipment was confiscated in the operation.
