Poetry recital under theme “End of Occupation and Full Independence” held in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Sep. 03 – The Department of Information and Culture held a grand poetry recital in Aino Mina, Kandahar yesterday under the theme “End of Occupation and Full Independence”.

The mushaira, which started in the afternoon and lasted till late at night, was attended by local poets from Kandahar, as well as famous writers and poets from southern Pakhtunkhwa, Kabul, Helmand, Zabul, Jalalabad, Ghazni, Khost and other provinces, and youth participated.

The poets doubled the beauty of poetry in their unique poems. They included in their poems useful messages of independence, end of occupation, nation building, brotherhood, unity, peace and so on.

The poetry recital also provided an interesting illustration of the victory of the Islamic Emirate and the defeat of the United States.

The poets and all the participants were very happy to compose poetry in an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood.

They emphasized that it was time for brotherhood and unity and that all Afghans should stand up for nation building and work with complete honesty and sincerity.

At the end of the poetry recital, Hafiz Noor Ahmad Saeed, Director of the Kandahar Department of Information and Culture, gave a short speech in which he welcomed and thanked the participants and assured them of the establishment of a complete Islamic system.

The meeting ended with a prayer.
