Over 17 killed and wounded, 2 tanks destroyed as post overrun in Farah

FARAH, Nov. 28 – At around 10:00 pm local time on Sunday, Mujahideen carried out coordinated assaults on 2 enemy check posts in Shawalgah area of Farah city amid ongoing ‘Omari’ annual campaign.
Attacks lasted for about 5 hours, during which a check post named ‘Pol-e-Sangi’ was overrun, leaving 8 puppets including a hireling commander killed and several other wounded while seizing a PK machine gun, 7 rifles and other military equipment.
Meanwhile enemy reinforcement arriving to the scene also came under heavy attacks of Mujahideen, destroying 2 tanks, killing 5 police on the spot and confiscating a RGP launcher, 3 rifles, 1 pistol and numerous amounts of other ammunition.
It is said that the second post in the area is also under tight siege and heavy attacks of Mujahideen, 2 gunmen have so far been killed and 2 others including a commander wounded.
A Mujahid has embraced martyrdom and another one wounded (may Allah accept them).
