GHAZNI, Aug. 11 – At least 7 policemen were killed and 5 others wounded in a gun battle triggered by Mujahideen ambushing the enemy in the provincial capital of Ghazni province on Thursday, while a Mujahid fighter embraced martyrdom with two others wounded in the fighting. A policeman is said to have been captured and taken to Mujahideen base.

Mujahideen fighters also seized from the enemy 1 PK (a heavy machine gun), 3 Kalashnikovs and a good deal of ammunition.

On Wednesday, a roadside bomb blast ripped into a group of the puppets on foot in Shalgar district of this province, leaving 3 puppets killed.

In a similar attack, at least 5 puppets were killed and 2 others wounded when a landmine blast hit and tore the enemy tank apart in Qarabagh district of the province on Wednesday.

Separately, a puppet soldier surrendered himself and his gun to Mujahideen in the provincial capital of Ghazni province on Wednesday.
