Band-e-Sultan is located 18km north-west of Ghazni city and considered one of Afghanistan’s historical sites. Local folklore says that the dam was built some thousand years earlier by Sultan Mahmud-i-Ghaznawi.
Band-e-Sultan is located in Khwaja Umari district and treated by residents of this province as a public recreational area where they can enjoy their free time under the peaceful and secure environment provided by the Islamic Emirate.
Workers of Al Emarah Studio have visited the aforementioned site and conducted interviews with locals that were at this historic and recreational area that can be viewed and downloaded from here.
