ARCS distributes cash assistance to over 500 families in Paktika

PAKTIKA, Nov. 22 – Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) distributed the remaining 40% cash assistance installment totaling 9142000 AFN for the rehabilitation of houses to 530 families, who were destroyed by severe earthquakes in Barmal district of Paktika Province, on Friday, said ARCS.

Earlier, ARCS distributed 60% installment which totals to 13432000 AFN to the afore-mentioned 530 families, where totally 22574000 AFN has been distributed. The afore-mentioned aid was provided with the financial support of ICRC, which is distributed as the following order:

In first category, 40% installments were distributed to 90 families, in which every family received 30,000 AFN.

In second category, 40% installments were distributed to 166 families, in which each family received 19,000 AFN.

In third category, 40% installments were distributed to 274 families, in which each family received 12,000 AFN. It’s commendable that earlier ARCS also distributed 28672000 AFN as cash assistance to 614 earthquake-hit families in Gayan district of the very province.
