HELMAND, Oct. 30 – Officials say, all personnel of 7th battalion in Muhammad Hashim Khan area of capital Tarinkot have laid arms before Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen by repenting their mistakes.
Officials add, as many as 24 including commander of the 7th battalion Muhammad Ismail, Lt. Col. Rafiqullah, his deputy Abdul Samad Baridman have surrendered to Mujahideen overnight.
They handed over 10 PKM machine guns, 2 RPG launchers, 2 mortar tubes, 2 Dshks, 1 sniper gun, 1 SPG-9 tube, 3 APCs, 2 rangers, 8 communication devices, a big score of ammo and other military equipment to Mujahideen.
