28 killed and wounded, 4 tanks destroyed as base overrun in Herat   

HERAT, Apr. 13 – A hireling military base in Nari Pula area of Shindand district came under Mujahideen attacks overnight, amid ongoing Mansouri annual campaign, says a report.

It adds, clashes of heavy and light arms lasted for about 3 hours, overrunning the base after killing 12 puppets, leaving 3 more wounded as well as forcing the rest to flee leaving 10 corpses behind.

Meanwhile, gunfight erupted with enemy reinforcement arriving the scene in Bazar area of the said district, during which 8 puppets were killed, 5 others wounded while 4 tanks destroyed.

8 Kalashnikovs, 1 RPG launcher with 45 rounds, 1 PK machine gun, 1 communication radio, 1000 ammos of PKM machine gun and other tools were confiscated during the operation.

A Mujahid has also embraced martyrdom in the operation.
