9 killed, 7 taken as base taken over 

BALKH, Nov. 8 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate with help of two infiltrators seized an army base in Khas Balkh district of northern Balkh province last night.

At least 5 enemy military personnel were killed and 7 more including the head of the base and his deputy were taken captives.

Similarly, Mujahideen recovered 12 Kalashnikov machine guns, 3 heavy machine guns, 2 bomb droppers,

1 M16 rifle, 1 pistol, some ammo and military equipment from the base.

In another report, 4 puppets were killed during a gunfight with Mujahideen in Zaray district of the province.

Moreover, 3 enemy military personnel were killed in attacks on posts in Nahr-e-Shahi district of northern Balkh province.
