PAKTIA, Aug. 28 – As many as 24 joint enemy personnel have been killed and an additional 35 sustained wounds in the deadliest clashes with Mujahideen following the enemy offensives over the last 24 hours in Jani Khel district of southeastern Paktia province, according to Al-Emarah News.

It adds Mujahideen fighters killed 3 puppets while wounding 5 more with 2 tanks destroyed in clashes with the enemy in Gardiz city, the capital of Paktia province on Monday.

In another report from Paktia, 3 puppets were wounded in an exchange of fire with Mujahideen in Syed Karam district of this province on Sunday.

Al-Emarah News separately said Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate recovered and released a child held hostage following a raid on the hideout of the kidnapers in Zurmat district of Paktia province and captured 3 kidnapers who were later turned over to the Sharia court of the Islamic Emirate.
