10 Tons of Expired Food Items Disposed off in Laghman

LAGHMAN, Oct. 13 –  Officials of Public Health Department of Laghman have seized about 10 tons of expired food and non-food items from capital of the province.

Director of Laghman Public Health, Dr. Samiullah Abed, told Bakhter News Agency that in cooperation with Trade Unions, Police Commander office and Environmental Protection department in the last six months have collected 300 pieces of expired items worth 523,820 AFN.

Shiragha Hammat, the head of Trade union in the province of Laghman, told media that their commission will start collecting expired items from shops of the districts of the province in cooperation with public health department of Laghman soon.
