HERAT, Dec. 15 – Following tireless efforts, the technical engineers of Afghanistan Electricity Company – Da Afghanistan Breshna Sharkat – have been able to reconnect electricity transmission line of Turkmenistan to Herat through temporary towers while foundations and related work for construction of making towers continues in full speed. It is worth noting that recently two poles of the electricity transmission line imported from Turkmenistan to Herat collapsed due to a severe storm and frost in the Bakarchar area of Rabati Sangi district of Herat province.
At around 2:00 pm local time last night, maintenance works were completed and Herat’s electricity was reconnected.
